 Position Overview:

  • We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to oversee the financial operations of In Time Tec and contribute to the financial management of our associated businesses.
  • This is an on-site position requiring a proven leader with a CPA and a strong understanding financial systems, compliance, and strategy.
  • Experience in the software industry is highly desirable.
  • The ideal candidate will also possess excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced and collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements for In Time Tec and associated businesses.
  • Develop and enforce robust financial controls and policies.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to ownership and executive leadership.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes.
  • Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals while fostering their professional development.
  • Support financial planning and strategic initiatives for smaller associated businesses.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and advise leadership on potential financial impacts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including vendors and financial institutions.

Qualifications:

  • CPA certification is required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required, with an MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Candidates should have 8–12+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including at least 3–5 years in a Controller or similar role.
  • Experience in the software industry is a significant plus.
  • Strong leadership and management abilities are essential, including the capability to mentor and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Candidates should have excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders and collaborate effectively with executives.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial systems and tools, such QuickBooks and Excel, is required, along with knowledge of automation tools to improve workflows. ERP experience is a plus.
  • An understanding of tax laws, audits, and financial regulations is also necessary.
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive attitude to contribute to the company’s financial success.

Salary Expectation:

The expected salary range for this position, based on market research and the qualifications outlined, is $90,000 to $120,000 annually, depending on experience and specific skills (e.g., software industry expertise).
